Annual Worship at the Park & Picnic at Garfield Park

Our Annual Worship and Picnic at the Park will be on Sunday, August 30th from 10am to 2pm at Garfield Park, located at 1750 Mission Street, South Pasadena (just a few blocks from here).

We will have our regular worship service from 10am to 11:30am, and the festivities will begin immediately afterward. We’re looking forward to celebrating another great year of ministry with food, fun, and fellowship. Lunch will be potluck style and of course, Ernie and Steve will hold down the outdoor grill! A sign-up sheet with suggestions is circulating in the lobby and Fellowship Hall, so make sure you sign up and bring your favorite dish or a suggested dish.

This year, we’re adding a Talent Show to the festivities! If you can sing, dance, play an instrument, tell jokes, write poetry, or have a favorite scene in a movie you want to act out, we invite you to share your talent with us. We’ll provide the microphones and speakers; you just bring your talent. Alas, we have yet another sign-up sheet for the Talent Show. Just put your name and a short description of what you would like to perform.

Next to the Potluck and Talent Show sign-up sheets, you will find another sheet asking people to commit to helping load up the Suburban Saturday afternoon, set up, and load out and return to the church to put everything away. Sign up and be an important part of making our Worship in the Park Sunday a success.

This is the day to invite family and friends to an outdoor church service.
