Coming Down the Mountain

Some of us long to have these deep, spiritual moments with God. And God sometimes gives them to us. But we must not be like Peter and think that those moments of glory are what being a Christian is all about. God gives some of us those moments so that we can come down the mountain to put that experience to good us for the sake of others and the Kingdom.

The Controversy over Good

The question is whether we can call anything “good.” For instance, can we call a song a “good song,” or can we tell someone they did a “good job?” Most of us use the word “good” rather flippantly because it seems to work in many occasions. “Good,” like the word “love,” can refer to any range of things from our opinion of a slice of pizza to how we feel in our relationship with God.
